Coconut Grove

Miami's Oldest Neighborhood

Coconut Grove, or simply The Grove, is Miami's oldest continuously inhabited neighborhood.

Originally settled in the 1800's, the Grove has a laid back Bohemian vibe with a tropical flare. From a map's aerial view, you can appreciate the Grove's distinctly dense tree canopy with lush flora & fauna including wild peacocks and Kampong botanical garden. Nestled between Coral Gables and Brickell along Biscayne Bay, the Grove is one of Miami's most sought after neighborhoods and home to some of the best schools such as Ransom Everglades, Carrollton, and St. Stephen's. There are several pockets of the Grove but none of them are far from all there is to do - even more so thanks to free ride share available to residents via Freebee.

North Grove is directly N of Grand Ave, S of US-1, and W of 27th Ave. This area primarily consists of townhomes within close proximity to everything like a local favorite grocery, Milam's, Fresh Market, the newly renovated Cocowalk, and a plethora of fabulous restaurants, rooftops, hotels, bars, and shops in the heart of the Grove off of Grand Ave.

South(west) Grove begins S of Loquat Ave, just E of Le Jeune Rd that separates it from Coral Gables. This popular section of the Grove has mostly single family homes, and many to exclusive waterfront communities off Main Hwy such as: Camp Biscayne, Hughes Cove, The Anchorage, The Moorings, and Entrada Estates. South Grove can feel like you're living in the middle of a jungle, yet you're only a few blocks away from everything.

Northeast Grove is nestled between Brickell and the Biscayne Bay E of 27th Ave. This is one of the most accessible areas and where you'll find most of the Grove's outdoor activities with many waterfront parks, multiple marinas, and yacht clubs including Coral Reef Yacht Club, Biscayne Bay Yacht Club, and Coconut Grove Sailing Club. Closer to Brickell you'll find the popular Rickenbacker Causeway for outdoor activities and the historic Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, arguably the most iconic destination in Miami.

West Grove "Little Bahamas" lies directly W on Grand Ave in the NW corner of the Grove. This is the original settlement of Bahamian immigrants that were instrumental in founding Coconut Grove. You can still find many charming historic clapboard "Conch houses" intact in bright colors. West Grove hosts one of Miami's best farmer's markets every Saturday. This area is developing rapidly and is highly sought after by investors for its prime location.
